2008 APWA/ASCE/UCEA
Conference is in the WORKS  !!!

The Conference Committee is diligently making plans for this year's Annual Conference.  We have 25 seminars planned, 2 key note speakers, 30 exhibits, networking opportunities, and much, much more.

The engineering industry is experiencing growing pains in Utah.  We are out growing the infrastruction, over burdening the existing transportation systems, putting band-aids where new facilities should be built and experiencing a short-fall in qualified engineers and graduating students.   What IS spectacular about these growing pains is that the Utah market is developing unique and innovative solutions to the increasing demand of producing quality products faster and with in limited budges.  Additionally, the Utah market remains HOT, requiring inspectors stay on top of their game, understanding the requirements of storm water protection, details of APWA standards and specifications and thinking outside of the box.  Managers on the other hand are required to push their people harder, training and mentoring people, and find new and innovative solutions, as well as more funding opportunities.

Seminars emphasis include four tracks
  • Transportation
  • Water/Waste Water
  • Operations
  • Storm Water

During the APWA/ASCE/UCEA Conference you will have the opportunity for individual consultations with trained professional, experienced engineers and consultants with first-hand knowledge for the tough tasks you face.  We encourage you now to mark your calendars and plan now to attend.

This conference will provide you with the best resources to become proactive, to set or re-think your personal and professional goals, to develop those win-win situations and seek more options with better resources.
