Mutual Aid Interlocal Agreement for Utah Public Works Emergency Management 

Facing an emergency?  Where can you to turn for additional resources?

Begin with neighboring communities and local resources. The PWEM-MAIA will help you sleep better at night knowing others are there to help. Also, learn the processes and window for getting help from the right federal agency and others.  The Utah-APWA Emergency Management Committee is the alliance of communities with experts who have experienced emergencies in their communities. Join us to be prepared – before disaster strikes!

The Utah Chapter of APWA in collaboration with cities and towns have developed the Mutual Aid Interlocal Agreement for Utah Public Works Emergency Management. This document has been reviewed by several city representatives and their attorneys including Salt Lake County, Salt Lake City, Midvale, West Jordan, and the Utah League of Cities and Towns.

In case of an emergency, this agreement could mean life or life loss. Existing mutual aid agreements are listed in our document library.
