The annual Utah APWA Chapter Awards Banquet will be held during National Public Works Week on May 20th , 2010. In preparation for this event, the Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the following individual and project based categories:
1. PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT OF THE YEAR Recognizes a design professional and/or contractor for outstanding achievements in project design and/or construction of a public works project during the previous year.
2. PUBLIC WORKS SAFETY AWARD Honors a public works agency or related agency personnel at the operational level for outstanding achievement in safety during the previous year.
3. UTAH OUTSTANDING PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE AWARD Recognizes a public works employee for outstanding achievements and services rendered during the previous calendar year.
4. UTAH APWA MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD Recognizes outstanding service to public works and to the APWA during the previous calendar year

Services which include road and street maintenance, solid waste collection and disposal, municipal water and wastewater operations, irrigation water systems, storm water management, transportation, traffic control, fleet maintenance, building and grounds maintenance and many other related areas.
